Steve  McFarland  has been serving as missionaries in Africa since September 2001. Steve is a graduate of Manhattan Christian College. Steve was born and raised in Thayer and is the son of Harry and Charlotte McFarland of Thayer, KS (now deceased) .

Steve has three children: Matt and Sydel Jansen of Wichita, KS; Rachel Jansen and Nathan Jansen of Chicago, IL and three grandchildren
