Mike Elrod has been serving at Westside Christian Church in Coffeyville, Kansas, for the past five years as the Senior Minister. Mike's lovely wife, Laurie, serves along side him at Westside as well as teaches First Grade at Tyro Community Christian School in Tyro, Kansas. Mike and Laurie are both graduates from Ozark Christian College in Joplin, Missouri. They were married May 24, 1992 at Altamont Christian Church where Laurie's father Lewis, is the preaching minister. Mike and Laurie grew up in Southeast Kansas. Mike's hometown is Thayer, and Laurie's is Altamont.

The Elrod's have three children; Carrie, age 12; Micah, age 9; and Andrew, age 6. They live in rural Dearing, Kansas on nine acres where, as of yesterday, they raise 24 chickens, seven cats, one cow (pregnant) and five guineas. Oh yea, and fish!
