We are coming upon a month of love, the high point being Valentine's Day.  To adopt the attitude of John the Baptist in John 3:30, "He must increase, but I must decrease", is the crux of a loving relationship with Jesus Christ.  This is not only true with Jesus, but it is true of any and every relationship we have.  Our spouses, our children, our parents, our friends and our spiritual brothers and sisters all need this kind of loving commitment from us.  This is not just for their good, although there is no better feeling than watching someone you love enjoy life because of something good that we have done.  No, not just for them; but for ourselves as well.  Here is how Jesus put it, "He who does not take his cross and follow after ME, is not worthy of ME.  He who has found his life will lose it, and he who has lost his life for MY sake will find it." Living an "It's Not About Me" lifestyle is the definition of really living. I encourage us all to enjoy life in a living and vibrant way by placing Jesus, and then others, before ourselves in all we do.
